STAAR (St. Anne's Academic Review) Journal

St. Anne's Academic Review (STAAR).

What is STAAR?

The St. Anne's Academic Review (STAAR) builds on the success of the Subject Family Dinners and the informal lunchtime discussion groups in the sciences and humanities. The activities of the vibrant research community here in College inspired us to collect a wide range of articles into a multi-disciplinary e-journal.

Here you can find the current issue of STAAR or browse all issues.

What does STAAR aim to do?

STAAR aims to promote your research interests and achievements across the whole St. Anne's academic community: MCR, SCR, and JCR. We are looking for lively and accessible articles about your research, plus short accounts of how your work has benefited from being at St. Anne's. In particular, we'd love to hear from you if you've done any of the following recently:

  • Attended a conference overseas.
  • Organised a seminar in Oxford.
  • Been awarded a prize or scholarship.
  • Gone on a research trip or visited an archive.
  • Given a paper at a Subject Family Event.
  • Talked to an interesting figure at one of the lunchtime discussion seminars.

How do I submit something to STAAR?

Please contact the editor of STAAR, Daria Luchinskaya (staar [at] st-annes-mcr.org.uk). The deadline for submissions is the end of term.

Who runs STAAR?

The STAAR editorial board consists of the following MCR members:

  • Christina Mayer
  • Karen Heath
  • Maria Amir
  • Michael Youdell
  • Rhianedd Jewell

We look forward to hearing from you!
